R&R Motorcycle Cruises, LLC

Sounds catchy huh?  We joked about this last year, running it out of Galveston, TX.  Carnival and Royal Caribbean operate out of this location, to the Islands of the Caribbean  as well as Mexico, Roatan, and Belize to name a few.  Then earlier this month chimed in with a third party and decided we'd have to consider a new name, using all three names in it.  I was thinking " MR R Motorcycle Cruises" ..   Even catchier!   Kicker is, we were semi serious about all this when it initially came up, but I'm  not so sure now.   Lot of headaches and BS to deal with.  Still, the thought of cruising the high seas with a dozen or two dozen motorcycles in the hull, off on adventures, paid for by the customers sounds like a good time?

So, how would we do this? What's the business plan?   Good Question.  Let's think out loud and go over some options!

Customer Costs:

Well , if we look at what's presently going in the marketplace we can come up some ideas.

Lets set a price point say at $2100 per person for an Inside Stateroom.  The Cruise line looks to be selling these for $1300, so we're pocketing about $800, or $1600 per couple.    But if we can get them into a Ocean View Verandah,  Lets charge them $2900 and we can go secure it for about $2200.  That's $1400 per couple in our favor.   Now the trick is to get about a couple of dozen rooms booked via FB marketing on our new FB Page.   Once we start getting the rooms booked, ours will be 'FREE'!  What, you ask?  Well, here's an example:

HOW MANY FREE BERTHS CAN A GROUP EARN?

8 staterooms (16 guests) traveling = 1 *Free Berth (bed)
16 staterooms (32 guests) traveling = 2 *Free Berths (1 free stateroom)
24 staterooms (48 guests) traveling = 3 *Free Berths (beds)
32 staterooms (64 guests) traveling = 4 *Free Berths (2 free staterooms)
100 staterooms (200 guests) traveling = *12 Free Berths (6 free staterooms)

Transportation

Now, I just have the cost of getting there and back.  But, if I use my business credit card for booking all these rooms, I can add up a lot of points to cover our air fare and hotel costs. So now I've got all the rooms covered, myself and Road Captains are covered...  what next?

Approvals

Gotz' to grease some palms on the Islands to get everything approved!  And the ships! No contracts, just some handshakes and get all the I's dotted and T's crossed to make it 'legal'.   Once we've got that, time to start rolling in the dough and doling the cash!

Play Money

I think we'll charge cash for handling the bikes.. maybe 400 up front then another $700 when at sea.  Cash is hard to track and less taxes.   We can sell tickets to some food cash of course, and make some more change that way.  Maybe some Tee Shirts?   Get them for less than $10 and sell them for $20; cash of course.

Road Captains

When we get on the Islands, we'll have a few PoPo' help us out or some local bikers with pull.   Dole out a hundred here, hundred there in cash to lead the bikes out and back, and were' in the money.  I'll rent a bike or ... Jeep ( NO!) for a hundred or two on each Island to get in the front of the pack so I can be seen!    It's coming together!

We're Rich!

So now it's time to add it all up.   Two dozen bikes, usually two up.  That's 24 x 1.6k + per room.  Then an extra 1k per bike.   Then food and extras.  So each cruise we're rolling in about 50-75k a cruise on a good week?  Then once we get really rolling, couple dozen cruises a year, which brings us to about $1 - 1.5 M of revenue, which a good chunk is cash and off the books?   I think we can make this work!

There's a new Sheriff in Town?

Apparently a few months ago, someone else tried this concept but stepped on their own peckers in the process.  They used pics from an existing company, doctored them up then claimed to have a relationship with an existing cruise company.  Within a short time, all hell broke loose and they went by the wayside.  That went quick!

Now the question is... did they get stomped with a few phone calls that went above their heads and those they did the handshakes with, or were they complete amateurs and clueless?  Or .. were they 'crooks' and trying to sneak in the back door and get folks $?  Either way, they are out of the picture.

This new LLC setup their web domain on the 5th of Oct 2019.  By the 16th of October, the cat was out of the bag and hell was breaking loose.  I stumbled across this today, 4 months later and the web page is discarded.   All 'proof' of it existing is cached on the 'net.  I saved off what I could find below.  Too bad; sometimes, competition is good?

Whoops...  you gotz to tread carefully .. haha

All one has to really do, is treat their customers with respect and they could put the current company out of business.

$20 for a $10 t-shirt. Hopefully they send the proceeds to St Judes Children’s hospital like they claim.

Wonder where the tracking for all those funds is?
