When
a narcissist realizes you are aware of his real personality and have
unraveled his conning tricks, he knows the game is up. Because he is an
extremely immature coward, his strategies for dealing with this are very
limited. He certainly cannot admit his mistakes, apologize, or offer
any reparations as necessary to resolve the conflict—only normal adults
do that. Instead, you will see the narcissist do one of two things:
- Send in third parties to intimidate you. Every
person who does this for the narcissist has been lied to and
manipulated. The narcissist expertly plays the victim, truncating the
story as necessary to make himself look the best and you look the worst.
Narcissists will lie to their own attorneys and investigators to
convince them they are being “stalked” and “harassed” when they are
merely suffering the natural consequences of their own choices. They
will file false police reports to enlist the authorities to their side.
They will lie to friends to turn them into human weapons, not caring one
bit about the effect this will have on those “friends.”
- Disappear. Ghost. Barricade
himself in his basement safe room and pray to the gods of exploitation
and selfishness to deliver him from this disaster. You are a huge threat
to his ego, and he would rather die than face you. Congratulate
yourself—you have a disappearing narcissist on your hands!
