What will a narcissist do if they can't influence?

First, they will completely turn it all around on you. They will say you “used” them, you were crazy, had a mental disorder, or even call you the narcissist. (As you begin to shake off the emotional abuse you will question that you were the narcissist…but if you’re worried and research it because your concerned you’ve caused another harm..nope. Not a narc.)

They will not understand a word you are saying when you stand up to them, they are unaware that the world does not revolve around them and you do not get to tell the truth. As far as they are concerned their hours of narcissistic rages (or weeks and months of silence) were warranted.

They will become enraged that you had a reaction to their abuse.

They will discard.

They will smear you to everyone that will listen. Twist everything to fit their narrative.

They will look for one last way to make you pay for their own vicious self hatred. If they can financially harm you, lie to your family, whatever. They will.
