Can a narcissist ever settle down with one person and stop all the lying and affairs?

Huh  ... well... that explains a lil? Interesting analogies

"If a narcissist settled down with one person and stopped having affairs, it would simply be a random occurrence.

Perhaps you get stranded on an island and he just isn’t meeting other people. But even on that island, he would lie to you. “What? I didn’t eat the last coconut from the coconut tree. Besides you were the one who asked me to break open the coconuts. Don’t ask me to do something and then complain about how I do it.”

It would be a really unpleasant time on that island. And when you get rescued and go back to the mainland, he will be telling everyone about how you went crazy. And how he tried to get away from you. After he sleeps with everyone on the mainland, he will return to you just to prove he can.

But all that fantasy island aside, the narcissist is only in a long-term relationship with himself. And, it’s a pretty shallow relationship. That’s why he needs validation and attention from everyone else. Do narcissists have one main “source of narcissist supply?” Sure. You can see there are people who are the long-suffering mates. But narcissists aren’t faithful. And they aren’t honest. That’s why they call it long suffering."
